PROJECT OVERVIEW
This was a dream project for us, full of vibrant furniture and innovative thinking. We wee delighted to advise on and provide a full loose furniture package for Scape Living, a new style of student accommodation in the heart of London City.
THE CHALLENGE
Working in conjunction with the project architect, client and main contractor, this vibrant project came with a strict deadline - we had just 5 weeks to turn it around, a deadline that also coincided with the opening of the Olympic Games in London.
The designer had taken inpiration from public multi-use spaces such as museums and galleries, using systems of tracks and grids that allow for movable walls. This is translated into an interior that could change and respond to different space requirements - a true test of our abilities to offer solutions for every space, even those that aren't fixed. Luckily, we love a creative challenge and we were thrilled to bring our A game to this ambitious vision.
THE RESULT
The project was completed on time and on budget, to the full satisfaction of the client, architect and project management team. Of course there was one downside - it made us more than a little jealous of the students who get to live and study here. We don't remember our own student accommodation ever looking quite so desirable!

THE SHEELIN SOLUTION
To meet with this project's tight deadline, we did a creativity cram - sourcing, delivering and installing incredibly unique product lines, whilst also taking into consideration the nature and usage of the space from a client perspective. There could be no compromises - Scapehad to work well, as well as wowing the eye.
We pride ourselves on bringing visions to life, and we believe that this space came alive in the most dynamic manner possible. Our ability to think beyond the obvious really got a chance to shine on this project and we are incredibly proud of the result - a unique and brilliant look that has been much imitated since.
As always, waste management and recycling were key considerations for us throughout, as was offering the client an ongoing and proactive aftersales service. We aim to be top of the class in these important subjects!
